Privacy Policy
Falls City Labs ("we") makes Thumbtile and runs fallscitylabs.com. We collect as little as possible. This policy explains what we do collect and why.
The website
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. Cloudflare, our host, processes your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
The Thumbtile app
- Thumbtile runs on your computer. It does not send your windows, screens, files or usage to us or anyone else. There is no telemetry.
- When you activate a license, the app sends your license key and a device label (your computer's name) to our payment and licensing provider, Polar, to confirm the key. About once a month it checks again so refunded keys stop working.
- When the app checks for updates, it downloads a small file from our servers. That request includes your IP address, like any web request.
- Settings are stored only on your computer.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, tax and receipts. Polar receives your name, email, billing details and payment information under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email, country and order details so we can deliver your license and support you. We never see your full card number.
If you email us, we keep the conversation to help you. We do not sell or share your email, and we only send you marketing email if you ask for it.
Your choices
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@fallscitylabs.com. We do not sell personal information.
Children
Our products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
